Start Date
June 6th, 2026 at 8am until the last person is standing!
We will allow late entries until 7:30 am. There will be a pre-race briefing at 7:45 am.
Weather
This is Texas so weather changes faster than our PR’s. The event will continue rain or shine unless there is thunder and or lighting. There will be signs posted at the Leader-board/scorer’s table/aid station for more details and our protocol.
Directions
The Start and Finish line will be located at “Chaparral Museum” it is across the street from the Roxton Community Center.
The Course is mostly flat. Only 140 feet of gain per ! However, it is very deceptive. Locals joke that it looks up hill both ways…you’ll see what I mean. It is crushed gravel, with trees covering both sides, that both trap humidity and provide shade only during sunup or sundown. During the hottest part of the day you will feel the full fury of the Texas Sun! At night you’re basically running in a dark tunnel with bugs and mosquitoes. You’ll LOVE IT!!!! 🙂
Address
Roxton Community Center, 104Harrison Ave., Roxton, TX 75477
Parking
Is located along Harrison Ave. and in front of the Museum. This is a very small town so please be mindful to not park where you will impede traffic, access to property, or business. Also be aware that we are guests. If anyone in the community asks us to park elsewhere, please do so. The residents are extremely friendly and will show us some awesome hospitality, let’s return the kindness!
Camping and Setup
Will be in the grassy areas not blocking walking paths or other events the city may be having. Designated area(s) will be marked. But if you are not sure, please ask. There are plenty of areas for shade, a pavilion, benches, covered walk-ways are located in the area but feel free to bring tent(s), canopy, tarps, etc.
Aid Station(s)
Will be limited to snacks such as water, cokes, chips, candy, fruit, or maybe broth & noodles. I highly recommend to bring your own fuel and hydration. Please be mindful that Aid Stations are for the runners. You are allowed to bring whatever fuel you need but remember this is a family friendly event so keep anything 21 and up out of sight in a cup. There is also a restaurant (highly recommend it for breakfast/lunch/ to go dinner) and grocery store right across the street if you need anything ASAP!
Gear
This is going to be a faster course. It is not your typical “walk some, sit some, stop to _______” type of Ultra. You will more than likely have to run each round. Thus, prepare to be moving, maintain a pace that will allow you to complete the course before time is out. Sports watch, small vest/camel pack, hand held water bottle, headlamp, sunscreen, hat(s), shades, and mosquito spray are recommended. Cell phones aren’t required to navigate but it might be needed in case of emergency. If you get lost on this course, you got BIG HUGE issues!
If you have to dump, both literally and figuratively, be sure it is either “bio-degradable” and off the trail or please pick it up. You will be disqualified for littering. There will be functioning restrooms at the Museum/start/finish line, so hold it if you can!
Pacers, pets, friends, family, and crew(s)
ALL the above are welcome! But remember, they follow the same rules as the runners except they don’t have to be at the starting line each hour. No one can help you during an attempt. It is only permitted at the start/finish line. But they can cowbell, whistle, and cheer all they want, whenever they want! Just don’t do it in front of oncoming traffic and remember keep it like a “golf clap” during Quite Hours. I also HIGHLY recommend they explore all the uniqueness of the town and help their economy by buying/spending local. The closest bigger cities are Paris (20 minutes northwest), Bonham (30 minutes northeast) and Commerce (35 minutes southeast).

**The rules are there for a reason. This is a race of endurance not of being lazy. Don’t take the easy route or figure out ways to cheat others who are giving their best efforts. Not only is this NOT cool, this defeats the purpose of Ultra races and what we’re about.
There will be a late Registration at the Aid Station. We encourage anyone to run but in order to be considered for Awards, Records, or Medal; you must pay the Registration fee. There will also be live donation’s box to help us support some great non-profit organizations!
