This race isn’t just another ultra โ€” it’s a statement.

  • The course forms the shape of an exclamation mark: the dot is the start/finish, and each 5-mile out-and-back is an Exclamation.
  • The name reflects our philosophy: “Whatever you do in life, put an exclamation after it โ€” go all out.
  • The course and the railroad ties found along side this re-purposed track themselves resemble an exclamation mark.
  • And fittingly, Exclamation 5.0 is the longest distance covered per loop in any last-man-standing race to date. Every hour demands more, and runners will be gasping to keep up.

This is where resilience, philosophy, and endurance collide โ€” one Exclamation at a time.

When: June 6th, 2026 | 10:00 AM – until the last runner is standing

Pre-Race Briefing: 9:45 AM

This is Texas โ€” expect the unexpected. The race goes on rain or shine, except in cases of thunder or lightning. Updates will be posted at the Leader Board, scorerโ€™s table, and or aid stations.

Address: 104 Harrison Ave., Roxton, TX 75477

Expect limited snacks: water, soda, HYPERLYTE, chips, candy, fruit, maybe other items. Bring your own fuel and hydration.

  • Aid stations are for runners โ€” please be mindful.
  • The closes bigger towns are over 20 minutes away
  • A restaurant and grocery store are across the street for last-minute needs.

This is a faster course โ€” not a stroll-and-chat ultra. Youโ€™ll need to run every round to keep pace. The following is suggested.

  • Sports watch
  • Small vest/camel pack or handheld bottle
  • Headlamp, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, mosquito spray
  • Rain gear (this is summer in Texas)
  • Cell phone (for emergencies)

  • No littering โ€” biodegradable only, or pack it out
  • Restrooms available at the Museum/start/finish line

Pacers, pets, crew, and family are all welcome!

  • They follow the same rules as runners (except they donโ€™t need to start each Exclamation).
  • No assistance allowed mid-Exclamation โ€” only at start/finish.
  • Cheering is encouraged, but respect Quiet Hours: 10 PM โ€“ 7 AM. Think golf clap, not rock concert.
  • Please explore Roxton, meet the locals, and support the townโ€™s businesses.

  1. An Exclamation = 5-mile out-and-back.
  2. The first Exclamation begins at 10:00 AM CST; finish within 1 hour.*
  3. New Exclamations start every hour on the hour.
  4. Runners must be at the starting line before the next Exclamation begins.
  5. Attempts continue until one runner remains; there are no ties.
  6. No aid is allowed during an Exclamation.
  7. Leave no trace โ€” no littering on the course.
  8. Liability waiver must be signed prior to the race.
  9. Quiet hours: 10:00 PM โ€“ 7:00 AM (no bullhorns, loud music, or yelling).
  10. No parking on the course, grass areas, private property, or blocking driveways.

*Exception: Only for late arrivals to the very first Exclamation.

Awards honor endurance, effort, and the true spirit of going all out.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Exclamation 5.0 isnโ€™t just a race. Itโ€™s a challenge to live, run, and endure with conviction โ€” one Exclamation at a time.
